Trip Plans and My Disney Experience Apps

If you haven’t downloaded the Trip Plans app that provides you with the itinerary I prepared, please go ahead and do that so you’ll be able to easily access all the information. It can also be viewed online. Please let me know if you need me to resend the link.

The My Disney Experience app will also be extremely helpful, so be sure that you are logged in and that your MDE app is updated to the latest version. You can use it to check wait times in the park, park hours, make mobile dining orders, make or modify dining reservations, view your Photo Pass photos, and more. I strongly recommend that you log in and now and begin familiarizing yourself with the app, especially with the Tip Board screen, where it provides Genie+ times for different attractions.

Check into Your Resort

Please check into your resort before you leave. There’s a good chance you’ll receive a text telling you that your room is ready before you even arrive at the resort, and then you can head straight to your room and unlock your door using your Magic Band or your My Disney Experience app. If you did not purchase Magic Bands, be sure to stop by the front desk to pick up your Key to the World Admission cards.

However, if you have any special requests - connecting rooms, king bed, etc. - you might want to wait and go in person to check in. That gives you one more opportunity to ask about your preference, and the cast member may be able to make a modification if necessary.

Transfers

If you would like assistance with a shared or private transfer to your resort, please let me know as soon as possible.

Luggage Tags

Your resort front desk also have souvenir luggage tags for you to pick up.

Lightning Lanes

Your itinerary has instructions for using Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selections so that you can make the best use of Lightning Lanes. (Look in the Information and Documents section.) Please read it over before you leave, because there is definitely a learning curve, especially with using Genie+. It can be confusing, and if you haven’t already, please click this link to schedule a Zoom call so that we can go over how it works: https://calendly.com/shannon-vbs

Park Hours

Since you’re staying at a Disney World resort, you may enter the theme parks 30 minutes before the posted time. This is a great way to get a jump on the day before the crowds arrive! In order get the most out of your early entry, I recommend planning to arrive at the park 45 minutes to an hour or more before it is supposed to open. Disney World often changes the park hours without notice. PLEASE take time to confirm the park hours the day before.
